Since the SixtyGig resource pack was made specifically to run with MCPatcher, certain adjustments have to be made before the resource pack can be used if another mod loader like Forge is installed. Therefore, it may be worth going through a bit of additional effort to get the full experience the SixtyGig resource pack has to offer. It is also only compatible with earlier versions of Minecraft. As of the moment, it was recently updated to 1.7.x and plans are in place to get it compatible with the latest updates, but the SixtyGig resource pack will not probably work with Minecraft 1.8.x. and up. While it is an understandable source of frustration, this pack has amazing textures to offer that may make up for having to dial back the game to an earlier version.
